Chilbolton Fishing in a private, secluded 280 metres of the main River Test situated adjacent to Chilbolton Common.
The beat has 2 islands, a comfortable rustic fishing hut and numerous seats and jetties.
The picturesque hut has tables and chairs which you are welcome you use on the bank along with the provided BBQ. Also available are a selection of wellies to use and tackle to hire.
This is a family-owned fishery and not run as a commercial enterprise. The ethos is to enjoy your day on the River Test, relaxing in a beautiful natural setting with the knowledge that when you book you have the whole place to yourself.
During the winter of 2021, The Wessex River Trust has carried out extensive bank improvements resulting in better access and a more sinuous river profile.
You cannot drive directly to the secluded beat which is accessed by a 800m (10 mins) walk across Chilbolton cow common.
Safe secure parking is available at a private residential property for just £5 per day.
Park in Wherwell or Chilbolton and follow the perimeter dog walking path around the common until you see the Chilbolton Fishing sign and gate. The path takes you to the fishing hut.
There is a mowed area around the hut for socialising and a fishing seat designating each end of the beat.
